For the second year running Edgar Martins’ work is shortlisted for the Meitar Award for Execrllence in Photography. This year the series What Photography & Inc. have in Common with an Empty Vase was the selected work. The work of the nominated artists will be on show during the 9th edition of Photo Israel, from 17 – 27 Nov 2021.

What Photography & Incarceration have in Common with an Empty Vase, winner of the BJP 1854’s  Portrait  of Humanity Photography Prize 2020, is included in the Indian Photo Festival which runs from 12 Nov – 13 Dec 2020.

Works from the series Landscapes Beyond: The Burden of Proof are included in the exhibition Decade of Change atThe Nest Summit for Climate Week NYC in partnership with The Climate Museum in New York. The exhibition will take place  a the Javits Centre, NYC and  will run from the 20 September – 20 October 2020.

What Photography has in Common with an Empty Vase is presented at The Geneva Photography Centre (Switzerland), from 14 Sept – 28 Nov 2021.

Works from the series Siloquies & Soliloquies on Death, Life and Other Interludes are  included in the exhibition Suicide: Let’s Talk About It! at The Museum for Sephulcral Culture, Kassel, Germany, from 10.09.2021 – 27.02.2022.

What Photography & Incarceration have in Common with an Empty is included in The Center for Book Arts summer exhibition series, New York, as part of the Paris Photo & Aperture Book Awards 2020 touring exhibition. This exhibition will run from 09 Jul – 18 Sep 2021.

What Photography & Incarceration have in Common with an Empty Vase, winner of the BJP’s 1854 Portrait  of Humanity Photography Prize 2020,  is exhibited at the Belfast Photo Festival (Northern Ireland), from 03 Jun – 30 July 2021 .

Works from the series The Time Machine & This is not a House feature in the exhibition Ensaio para uma Comunidade: retrato de uma coleção em construção,@ MAAT, Lisbon (Espaço Central Tejo). This exhibition is curated by Paulo Mendes and runs from  24 Apr 21 to 03 Jul 22.

Ron’s Hand is made of Guilt, no Muscle or Bone. He has two clinically depressed fingers and an angry thumb  has made the shortlist in the PHMuseum Photography Grant 2021.

Images from the series Landscaped Beyond:The Burden of Proof were among the winning entries in the BJP’s 1854 Decade of Change awards. An exhibition of winners will be presented at the Hong Kong Museum of Climate Change on June 10 2021.
