Edgar Martins gives a guided tour of his his critically acclaimed exhibition at MNAC Lisbon. This event will take place on 7 July at 10am and is open to journalists and art critics, as well as select members of the public. Booking is essential.

There’s a Shite Stunk in the air, Dad’s oot oan bai!, a reimagined iteration of the project What Photography has in Common with an Empty Vase is presented @ Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea (MNAC), Lisbon (Portugal).

New works from the series The Strange Case of Achilles and the Tortoise, a body of work produced by purely analogue means to reflect on how Photography has become inextricably aligned with Techno-capitalist doctrine is showed for the first time at during Photo London, 11-15 May 2022 (Purdy Hicks Gallery).

Goldsmith College, in conjunction with MOCA London will host a screening of Edgar Martins’ short film The Life and Death of Schrodingër’s cat on May 4, 5-7pm,. This will be followed by an artist talk and conversation with UK curator Zelda Cheatle.

The touring exhibition What Photography & Incarceration have  in Common with an Empty Vase will be presented at Ffotogallery, Wales from 03 March – 09 April 2022.

No Man is an Island, a dypthic from the series What Photography & Inc. have in Common with an Empty Vase has been nominated for the Sovereign Portuguese Art Prize 2022.

The Life and Death of Schrödinger’s Cat, the film element of the project What Photography & Incarceration have  in Common with an Empty Vase is screened @ MOCA,London, from 04 – 28 February 2022.

For the second year running Edgar Martins’ work is shortlisted for the Meitar Award for Execrllence in Photography. This year the series What Photography & Inc. have in Common with an Empty Vase was the selected work. The work of the nominated artists will be on show during the 9th edition of Photo Israel, from 17 – 27 Nov 2021.

What Photography & Incarceration have in Common with an Empty Vase, winner of the BJP 1854’s  Portrait  of Humanity Photography Prize 2020, is included in the Indian Photo Festival which runs from 12 Nov – 13 Dec 2020.

Works from the series Landscapes Beyond: The Burden of Proof are included in the exhibition Decade of Change atThe Nest Summit for Climate Week NYC in partnership with The Climate Museum in New York. The exhibition will take place  a the Javits Centre, NYC and  will run from the 20 September – 20 October 2020.
