Edgar Martins is interviewed by CNN on the Connect the World with Becky Anderson program, 14.04.2023, in the context of the SONY World Photography Awards 2023 and being awarded the prize’s highest accolade World Photographer of the Year.

Edgar Martins’ new project Anton’s hand is made of guilt, no muscle or bone. He has two clinically depressed fingers and an angry thumb, wins the Portrait Category of the SONY World Photography Awards 2023. The artist also took the main prize of the evening: Photographer of the year.

Edgar Martins is interviewed by BBC News on his series Our War, which won him SONY World Photography Award’s highest accolade World Photographer of the Year 2023.

A commercial for Coca-Cola which lends its title to the work of Mieko Meguro, is a selection by Andreia Santana and Pedro Barateiro from a vast part of the historic collection and artists of Galeria Filomena Soares. This exhibition will take place between December 3 and 31 2022.

Edgar Martins launches his new website. Bringing together a fresh perspective and edit of the projects the artist has produced over the past 15 years, this new site catalyses Edgar Martins’ recent interests, methodologies and ideas about photography and art.

The BJP IPA 2022 Single Image winners’ exhibition opens on 17 November 2022 at SeenFifteen Gallery and features images from the series “All the women I have photographed, all the women I have slept”, by Mia Salvato and Edgar Martins.

The Photo Israel festival features 50 exhibitions of leading photographers from both Israel and abroad, as well as multi-disciplinary programs such as art and dance performances, video installations, music shows and more.
