Edgar Martins is signing copies of his latest book The Poetic Impossibility to Manage the Infinite @ Photo London 2015,  on  21 May from 3-4pm at The Wapping project Bankside (Stand D43).

The exhibition The Wayward Line launches  at Château de Gruyères (Switzwerland) as part of the Alt+ 1000 Festival de Photographie. This exhibition is curated by Beatrice Andrieux and  includes images from the series This is not a House, A Metaphysical Survery of British Dwellings and The Rate of Convergence of Two Opposing System Trajectories.

The Poetic Impossibility to Manage the Infinite is presented at The Wolverhampton Art Gallery (UK) from 07 Feb – 05 May 2015. The launch of the exhibition will be  preceded by a talk between Edgar Martins and ESA astronaut Jean-François Clervoy.

Images from series The Time Machine are included in the exhibition My collection / TERRADA at  T-Art Gallery, Tokyo, curated by Daisuke Miyatsu. This exhibition presents the work of 5 Japanese photography collectors and runs from 30 Jan – 30 Feb 2015.

For the first time in the worldwide tour of this work, Edgar Martins’ exhibition will include a mixed media layout, with photographs and other artworks displayed alongside original ESA technological hardware as well as personal, space-flown possessions of ESA astronauts. This event is co-organised by Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra, the European Space Agency and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

Melanie Rio Gallery (stand  A14) will  host the launch of Edgar Martins’ new book The Rehearsal of Space & The Poetic Impossibility to Manage the Infinite as well as three separate booksigning between 5-6pm on 14 – 16 Nov.

Children attending the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Summer workshops respond to Edgar Martins’ exhibition at the museum, The Poetic Impossibility to Manage the Infinite, by producing sculptures based on the works on display.
