The Poetic Impossibility to Manage the Infinite opens at the New Walk Museum and Art Gallery (Leicester, UK). Edgar Martins will be hosting a talk with ESA astronaut Jean-François Clervoy to  accompany  launch of the exhibition, which will run from 26 May – 1 Jul  2018.

Experimental works from the series What Photography & Incarceration have in Common with an Empty Vase is presented at Photo London 2018 @  Purdy Hicks Gallery, from 17 – 20 May 2018.

Siloquies and Soliloquies on Death Life and Other Interludes is awarded 1st prize in the Still Life Category of the SONY World Photography Awards. The Poetic Impossibility to Manage the Infinite and 00:00.00 are also awarded second-prize in the Architecture series.

Siloquies and Soliloquies on Death, Life and Other Interludes, developed with the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences Portugal is presented  at ARCO 2018 at  Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art (stand A98), from  21 – 25 Feb 2018.

Siloquies and Soliloquies on Death, Life and Other Interludes is voted one of the best books of the year by 1000words magazine.

Siloquies and Soliloquies on Death, Life and Other Interludes is  presented as a solo show during Paris Photo 2017 at Melanie Rio Fluency (stand A1). This work is also  part of a group show at Purdy Hicks Gallery (stand D37).

The book Destinerrance: The Place of the Dead is the Place of Photography, produced in partnership with the José de Guimarães International Art Centre is launched  @ Paris Photo 2017, on 11 Nov, from 5-6pm (Melanie Rio, stand A1).

Work by the winners, finalists, and jurors’ picks of the Magnum Photography Awards 2017 will be exhibited  at The Photographers’ Gallery, London. This show will include images from the series Siloquies and Soliloquies on Death, Life and Other Interludes and will run from the 9 – 18 October 2017.

Siloquies and Soliloquies on Death Life and Other Interludes is presented at the inaugural edition of  Photo Oxford 2017, from 8 -24 September at Kendrew Barg Gallery, St. John’s College, St. Giles, Oxford, OX1 3JP.

Siloquies and Soliloquies on Death, Life and Other Interludes is awarded a special distinction (Juror’s Pick) at the Magnum & Lens Culture Photographic Awards.

Siloquies and Soliloquies on Death Life and Other Interludes is presented during Les Nuits de La Photographie at Rencontres D’Arles 2017. The work will be projected as part of the Voies Off Awards  on Monday 3rd July at Croisière and during Night of the Year, on Friday 7th July at Papeteries Étienne.
