Lipograph Light Study #1

£4,000.00

This artwork was produced in the context of Edgar Martins’ experimental Lipograph Light Studies. Llipograph is a term coined by Martins, inspired in George’s Perec’s lipogramme. In this experimental series, produced solely by exposing different lightwaves and light patterns onto photo sensitive paper,  Martins adopted Perec’s lipogrammatical approach to deal with the difficult and complex topic of the death and disappearance of his good friend, photojournalist Anton Hammerl, during the 2011 Libyan war.
