Class of the Visible, works from the Ilídio Pinho Foundation collection @ Abel Salazar Building, University of Porto, Portugal

This exhibition brings together over 120 works by renowned artists including Vieira da Silva, Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso , Paula Rego Edgar Martins, among others. The show featuring early works from Edgar Martins’ The Accidental Theorist and The Diminishing Present series. The exhibition will be on display from 11.02-31.05.2025.

The works on display traverse the panorama of national art, from the early days of modernity with Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro, Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, and Almada Negreiros to the new paths of contemporary art, with echoes of Portuguese identity and international aesthetic, artistic, technical, and philosophical influences.
